Job description

 

  • Lead, coordinate, and support the daily work of warehouse and internal logistics teams.
  • Maintain robust processes for storing, handling, labeling, traceability, segregation of non‑conforming material, and documentation.
  • Set priorities and provide clear direction to ensure safe, organized, and efficient warehousing operations.Ensure inventory accuracy, proper storage locations, and adherence to material handling standards (including certified aviation material requirements).
  • Own and drive performance across warehouse‑related SQDIP KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, space utilization, damage rates), including actions, follow‑up, and escalation to support business results.
  • Design, manage, and continuously improve internal material flows end-to-end process
  • Ensure appropriate milk‑run / tugger / forklift / manual transport routines are in place and executed safely and reliably.
  • Monitor internal delivery performance, shortages, and transport risks; ensure timely escalation and problem resolution.
  • Own kitting processes to ensure complete, accurate, and timely kits are delivered to the assembly in line with production schedules.
  • Partner with Production, Materials Planning, and Engineering to define kit standards, presentation methods, and change control.
  • Drive continuous improvement in kitting accuracy, cycle time, and ergonomics to support safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lead the Conformance team, assuring the process and its execution meets the requirements
  • Support internal audits and customer/regulatory audits related to warehouse, logistics, and material conformance.
  • Ensure data accuracy and appropriate system oversight across warehouse and logistics tools (e.g., SAP / ERP, visual material shortage tools)
  • Maintain clear visual management in warehouse and logistics areas (location labeling, flow paths, standard work visuals, SQDIP boards).
  • Use data and analytics to identify bottlenecks, conformance gaps, and improvement opportunities in internal logistics and kitting processes.
  • Build team capability by coaching and developing employees in their daily responsibilities and in the practical application of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
  • Act as the first line of support and escalation for warehouse, conformance and internal logistics teams in day‑to‑day operational matters.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to Environmental Health & Safety requirements in all material handling activities.
  • Foster collaboration with Quality, Materials Planning, Engineering, Sourcing, and Operations to resolve logistics and conformance challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement in warehouse layouts, material flows, kitting processes, and conformance controls to improve SQDC performance.
  • Lead or support kaizen events and problem‑solving activities focused on internal logistics and kitting.
  • Identify and implement technology and process enhancements (e.g., scanning, labeling, automation, standard work) that improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience in warehouse operations, internal logistics, or materials management within a manufacturing or MRO environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead daily execution, coordinate priorities, and support team performance in an operational environment.
  • Experience working across functions and driving resolution of logistics and conformance issues through effective stakeholder management.
  • Communicative in English at B2 or C1 level.
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with strong ownership and execution focus.
  • Experience in the aviation industry, MRO, or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP / ERP systems and warehouse/logistics modules.
  • Experience supporting team development, mentoring, or coordinating the work of others.
  • Understanding of requirements related to certified aviation materials, traceability, and conformance.
  • Experience in process improvement and operational excellence (e.g., lean, FLIGHT DECK, 5S, standard work).
