Job description
  • Perform hand blending and power blending to restore surfaces and remove defects while maintaining dimensional and quality requirements
  • Remove broken bolts and other damaged hardware using approved repair techniques
  • Execute rivet replacement operations in accordance with engineering and repair instructions
  • Perform hand wipe solvent degreasing and surface preparation prior to repair or assembly activities
  • Replace threaded inserts and key-locked inserts as required by repair documentation
  • Apply vibro peen marking in accordance with specification, traceability, and identification requirements
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, repair manuals, work instructions, and process specifications
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and component acceptance criteria
  • Maintain accurate documentation of repair activity as required
  • Support a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to ensure repair turnaround and technical compliance
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in aerospace repair, mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or MRO
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, repair manuals, and technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with repair techniques such as blending, broken bolt removal, rivet and insert replacement, solvent cleaning, and vibro peen marking
  • Confident using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
  • Familiarity with FAA-regulated, OEM, or MRO environments, including safety and quality standards
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset with good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive manual work, lift materials and tools in line with site guidelines, and carry out detailed visual inspections of engine parts
