Job description
  • Ensures on-time material availability for production and Test Cell by coordinating priorities with production and production planners. Reacts to deviations (delays, missing parts) by adjusting purchase orders, expediting deliveries or arranging substitutions in agreement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Actively manages WIP and rate in own area: analyses queues, lead times and blockages, adjusts work sequences and priorities together with production and material planning to keep flow and meet targets.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for the assigned area.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align production plans with material availability and workforce capacity.
  • Work closely with material and planning team to ensure timely availability of parts and components.
  • Monitor progress against schedules and adjust plans to address delays or disruptions.
  • Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including equipment, labor, and materials.
  • Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance workflow.
  • Assess production capacity and support Front Line Leaders in allocating resources to meet production demand.
  • Collaborate with Team members and Support Functions to balance workloads across shifts and workstations.
  • Forecast future capacity needs based on volume trends and customer requirements.
  • Communicate production status updates and risks to stakeholders, including leadership and customers.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cycle time, and productivity.
  • Generate reports on production performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and planning.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production area
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Production Planning or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations management, supply chain
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
