Job description
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring continuity of availability for parts sent for repair to external vendors in line with production demand (including inventory and repair status monitoring).
- Participating in daily production meetings as a representative of the external repairs area; presenting the status of critical parts at vendors and highlighting potential risks for production.
- Coordinating the flow of parts for repair: from the production work order, through shipment preparation and dispatch to the vendor, to receipt of the material after repair and data update in the SAP system.
- Responding to Andon signals and other production notifications related to material shortages, incorrect reservations, or data errors.
- Verifying the correctness of reservations in the SAP system, identifying missing or incorrectly reserved items, and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
- Supporting the analysis of part swap opportunities (between work orders, engine units, or production cells) to minimize production downtime.
- Collecting operational and material data (inventory levels, delivery dates, work order priorities) and passing it to the materials planning team to support swap decisions.
- Closely cooperating with the materials planning team on demand forecasts, production priorities, and material risks.
Requirements
- Experience in materials planning, materials purchasing, logistics, or external repairs (experience in the aerospace industry will be an additional asset).
- Knowledge and understanding of basic purchasing processes and requirements related to sourcing certified aerospace materials.
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, enabling work in an international environment.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel (materials data analysis, reporting) and Outlook.
- Experience working with ERP-class systems, preferably SAP (handling purchase orders, reservations, and inventory).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to cooperate effectively with various stakeholders (production, planning, purchasing, warehouse, quality).
- Proactivity, initiative, autonomy, and a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work under time pressure in a dynamic production environment.
- Openness to knowledge sharing and mutual skills development within the team.
