Job description
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for the assigned area.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align production plans with material availability and workforce capacity.
  • Monitor progress against schedules and adjust plans to address delays or disruptions.
  • Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including equipment, labor, and materials.
  • Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance workflow.
  • Assess production capacity and support Front Line Leaders in allocating resources to meet production demand.
  • Collaborate with Front Line Leaders and Technicians to balance workloads across shifts and workstations.
  • Forecast future capacity needs based on volume trends and customer requirements.
  • Work closely with materials to ensure timely availability of parts and components.
  • Communicate production status updates and risks to stakeholders, including leadership and customers.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, cycle time, and productivity.
  • Generate reports on production performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to support decision-making and planning.
  • Ensure all production activities comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production area.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations management.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and production planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
