Production Tools Technician

This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of our production by managing and maintaining standard tools used in daily operations. This employee will work closely with multiple departments, including logistics, sourcing, and calibration, to ensure that all tools are available, functional, and properly documented.

Main Responsibilities:

• Gather requests for standard tools from technicians based on operational needs, following internal procedures.
• Store tools in designated locations and packaging, ensuring proper labeling and tracking file.
• Submit purchase requests for tools to the sourcing department via email and follow up on offers, ensuring timely procurement of necessary equipment.
• Track and report on tool delivery statuses.
• Receive tools from the logistics department, mark them according to our internal guidelines, and record them in the tool inventory system. If tools require calibration, forward them to the Calibration Team with all necessary documentation.
• Ensure the correct distribution of tools to production teams based on their requests and operational demands.
• Perform basic repairs on standard tools and process warranty claims with suppliers, following our complaint handling procedure.
• Record the disposal of damaged tools that cannot be repaired. Coordinate with the Calibration Team for proper removal from the system if calibrated tools are scrapped.
• Confirm tool deliveries in the purchasing system to facilitate invoice processing and payment.

 

Wymagania

• Proven work experience in a relevant technical profession.
• Experience in working with computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with standard tools, their usage, and basic maintenance.
• Understand of procurement and inventory processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and track inventory efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail in handling tools and documentation.
• Effective verbal and written communication, particularly in coordinating with different departments and submitting documentation such as purchase requests and reports.
• Proactive in addressing tool-related issues, including repairs, warranty claims, and handling out-of-service tools.
